About Us
Introduction, Vision & Mission
In 1997 Pastor Benjamin and Simotu Williams moved to NZ after serving, pastoring and planting churches in Samoa, American Samoa and Tuvalu Islands with the Assemblies of God movement.Immediately they began planting churches in Wellington region upon arrival, and from there Bread of Life was birthed. Started in Tawa in there home, then later they leased one of the Old Hospital Buildings in Kenepuru; it was there also they started the now called Ia Malamalama Agape Bible College, which has now have campuses both in New Zealand and Australia. After much prayer in seeking God for a fresh vision and direction, the church was renamed to Menorah Prayer Mountain in 2014, and in 2017 Pastors Benjamin and Simotu Williams passed the baton to their son Pastor Timoteo and Righteous Williams.
MPMC now have the privilege and honour to have Prophets Peter and Melitiana Tuisano, Apostles David and Leatutia Tautolo, and Evangelists Merita Taulapapa on board. All previously served for many years in their respected ministries, pastoral, pioneering, planting churches, and music ministries just to name a few. They are now serving along with our founder Pastors Benjamin and Simotu Williams in our advisory council and church board.
Our Senior Pastor Timoteo Williams casted a 3-G vision , to be grounded in His Word, to grow in His Love, and to give Hope to the Lost, with the emphasis of implementing the 5-fold ministry, building a strong base church with a global vision in reaching the lost at any cost.
Menorah Prayer Mountain Church as an Apostolic Prophetic Church, is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission as commissioned by our Master Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20.
To be grounded and established in God’s word, to train and equip believers to become disciples so we can reach our community for Jesus.
To build relationships with people, to love and to care, to grow spiritually and in maturity. To create a safe and fun family environment so people can feel the warm embrace of our loving Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. To be able to plant Apostolic Prophetic churches as mission outreaches.
To reach out, to be able to give hope, focusing on the Lost, firstly locally, nationally, and also globally.
MPMC also is a strong advocate of Israel, having a heart for the Jewish people to come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that salvation is from the Jews as Jesus said it himself (John 4:22), and we believe as prophesied in God’s Word, it is us the Ends of the Earth who has the mandate to call to the daughters of Zion “Your Saviour cometh” (Isaiah 62:10-12), and preparing the way for the King of Glory. Today Jews needs Jesus, and God has commissioned us from the Ends of the earth to take the gospel back to Jerusalem where it came from, so that the Great Commission can come into a full circle completing its journey as it started from there 2000 plus years ago.
MPMC has a vision of establishing a permanent Apostolic centre here in NZ, and a field centre in Jerusalem where we can train and send out workers and labourers in the field in our local community and also to the nations of the world. We believe that when God gives a vision, its because he already has provision, and by faith we move into the unknown in fulfilling what God has called us to do.
